These models are for a chicken waterer for standard-mouth (some refer as small-mouth) and wide-mouth canning jars (pint, quart, 1/2 gallon).  These could also be used for other small pets. These work best when raising chicks during their first 3 months or so of life. I used a ½ gallon wide-mouth jar which provided sufficient water for my 8 chicks. Quart jars also work well. Pint jars will work but probably don't hold a sufficient amount of water unless you only have 1 or 2 chicks. I continued to use when the chickens got older but changed out for a 15-gallon system with PVC and water cups so that I didn't have to fill or clean as often. 

I've printed in both PLA and PETG however most filament types will work well. 4 or more wall loops will ensure the jar threads don't break away when tightening jar. A tight seal of the Jar to the Waterer is not required and will work as intended if only finger tight. The jar should be loosely tight and not tightened down hard. Water touching the base of the jar forms the seal that stops the water flowing and not the jar contact to the Waterer.  Over tightening can crack the print at the base of the jar causing the Waterer to leak. Fill density is not critical however I used a 20% infill.

If you don't have canning jars, Goodwill usually has individual quart sized jars for cheap. Also, Classico spaghetti jars are small-mouth compatible.
