Dog Treat Container - Small

A small container for dog treats. Unscrews for filling. Lid rotates to slide open and closed preventing spillage.

Why

I designed this because, although dogs love all my coat pockets being full of treats, I would prefer them to be contained elsewhere but still easily accessible.

Lid stays on when open, it's good for a couple of small treats at a time. (Try holding an open container of treats, with some dogs, all on lead in one hand. Happy dogs but the treats are gone…)

Designed small to be pocket friendly, made for when you go for a quick walk, and need a handful of treats.

Printing and assembly

I've included a print file for this. Alternatively the parts should be printed in the orientation shown in the image below. No supports needed, but bridging should be enabled… for my logo :D… Anyway, I just used PrusaSlicer's Default profile for Prusament PETG, 0.2mm Layer, Quality [Changes ‘Enable bridging’].

Assembly is fairly simple, the base and middle screw together, the lid needs to be pressed onto the middle with some force or gentle hammer love, when attached properly the lid should rotate with some resistance from the bump-locate thing.

Miscellaneous Thoughts

Taking this into consideration, I'm confident this is fine to be used with dry or semi-moist dog treats, with regular cleaning. If you want to be extra safe, do as Jakub advises in the blog post (coat the parts in epoxy to seal any small gaps or cracks in the print). 

I advise printing in PETG because of its higher temperature resistance, but PLA works fine. This can be hand washed with warm soapy water.
