Update 2024-07: I added some variations of the model with slightly wider tolerances as for some people the default version was too tight. The notch that holds the joycon is 0.1/0.2 mm thinner in these versions. I also added a file with partial sliced of the model with which the different tolerances can be tested. The extra tolerance is now an additional parameter in the OpenSCAD file, so let me know if the 0.2mm extra tolerance is not enough. 

Needed something in which I could store my extra joycons and which I could also use to transport them without buttons getting pushed. In order to be usable as storage the joycon needed to be easy to remove and insert. The fit is tight enough to be used for transport as is, but to be sure the controllers don't slide out, you can use an elastic band to secure them (a hair tie works well). Enjoy!

I took some of the measurements from a design by Soukas (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3688016), but otherwise it was designed from the ground up in openscad. The openscad files are included in case anyone wants to modify the design.

Print instructions

The print doesn't need supports. I used the 0.2 mm quality setting with all of the default values.
