Recently I have started to enjoy plaing games on my PS2 again, if it just weren't for this noisy fan! You can hear it several meters and it annoys me. 

Looking for a fix I stumbled across kaputniks design on thingiverse. It lacked some features and wasn't made for a PS2 SCPH-50004, which I happen to own. So I remixed the design to fit the SCPH-50004 model of the PS2. In some of these Noctua Fan mods, you have to clip some of the shell or saw of a small metal part. Not with this remix (at least for SCPH-50004).

There is no permanent damage to the PS2 or its shell with this mod!

Everything just fits together nicely.

Another change is that kaputnik uses M2 screws in his design. I changed the screw holes to fit M3x6 screws, as from my point of view they are far more common within the 3D printing community. 

As for printing the parts, use as little supports as possible where the power switch slides in. It is very easy to damage the rails when removing supports (especially with PETG).

I printed this in PLA, but PETG should be fine too. Not that temperature is an issue. The PS2 runs rather cool with the Noctua fan.

On the last photo, you see another critical part. Put some supports there if you want. This is where the IO bracket slides into the metal piece, that has to be removed for other mods.

I soldered on the original fan wires to an adapter, in which I plugged in the NF-A6. Not that I think it will fail anytime soon, but you never know.

Please ignore the threaded inserts. I had plenty of those laying around for another project and used them in the first iteration of this remix (which I printed). But as you can see it looks kind of bad (although they hold on very well).

Just use regular M3x6mm screws to put everything together. It's not like you are opening it up like every few weeks anyway.
