Beschrijving van de maker
Origineel in het EngelsThe original front roll of the S5 is very hard, so driving on slabs (or rather over their gaps) can be very noisy.
This flexible roll reduces this noise by taking most of the energy and not transferring it to the robots case.
What you need
- a 4 x 29.75mm rod (You can use the upper (flat) part of a M4 cylinder screw. Cut it to length with a saw. Make the cut at ~31mm and use a file to get a perfect fit.)
Printing
- print the roll with TPU / Flex
- if possible - use the new arachne perimeter generator
- print the inner part with PETG / PLA for less resistance
- print this as a solid cylinder (4 contours, no infill)
Assembly
- push the inner part into the roll. This is designed to be a tight fit. Make sure the roll is centered.
- remove the original front wheel of the S5
- insert the rod into the wheel (make sure, the wheel spins freely on the rod)
- insert the wheel into the robot

The roll was designed for the S5 Max. It has a diameter of 26mm and a width of 22mm. The inner part is 23.8mm wide. The robots axis is 4 x 29.75mm. The wheel may fit other Roborock robots as well.
